The International Renal Interest Society (IRIS) and the UC Davis Center for Continuing Professional Education have partnered to present IRIS Renal Week and the Extracorporeal Boot Camp. Over the past 20 years Renal Week has become recognized internationally as the premiere educational offering for kidney diseases in animals, and for the past 7 years these conferences have been held in beautiful Northern California on the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine campus. Regrettably, the 2020 Renal Week was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and with uncertainties to hold in-person conferences in 2021, the next IRIS Renal Week and Boot Camp has been scheduled for March 2023.

The UC Davis campus has provided an exceptional venue for delivery of the state-of-the-art presentations and diverse laboratories offered at Renal Week. Located in the heart of northern California, UC Davis also provides break away opportunities for the California Wine Country, San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, and the beautiful north coast of California. The excitement of the 3 1/2-day lecture and laboratory content will be complimented by the camaraderie of fellow nephrologist and a variety of extracurricular activities.

Extracorporeal Boot Camp is a traditional complement to IRIS Renal Week providing an introduction and overview of hemodialysis, CRRT, and therapeutic apheresis to the newcomer with a burgeoning interest or curiosity about extracorporeal therapies. Boot Camp immediately follows the Renal Week program. This 2 1/2-day program will feature lecture instruction and hands-on laboratory sessions demonstrating the applications and principles of these exciting therapies.

The 2023 IRIS Renal Week and Extracorporeal Boot Camp will provide an outstanding opportunity to interact with fellow colleagues with a devoted interest in nephrology and extracorporeal therapies. Renal Week will stimulate equally the novice and the advanced learner. There are scholarship opportunities for trainees with a directed interest in nephrology or extracorporeal therapies. Share your research at Renal Week with opportunities for poster or oral presentations. Follow the planning for content and schedule for Renal Week at, https://ce.vetmed.ucdavis.edu. We look forward to seeing and hosting you in 2023 at UD Davis.
