Dr. George E. Lees receives the Osborne Award from Dr. Larry Cowgill (immediate past President of IRIS). Dr. Nichola Archer Thompson represents the funder of the Award, Elanco.

The International Renal Interest Society announced the winner of the Osborne Award 2011 at the annual meeting of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ECVIM) in Maastricht, Netherlands on September 6, 2012.

The Osborne Award is presented to a distinguished scientist for exemplary life-long contributions to veterinary nephrology.

The winner, Dr. George Lees of Texas A & M University, has made groundbreaking contributions to our understanding of the basis of hereditary renal diseases, the pathophysiology of proteinuria and the pathologic findings of canine glomerular disease.
